Foam wash with Arctic Snow Foam

You may have seen pictures of cars covered in a thick “barber foam” like cover, you may also have wondered what this is exactly? Snow Foam or foam wash / pre-wash is a type of cleaning product developed to break down and remove dirt and grime in order to make it safe performing a hand wash after, or as a touchless cleaning method. By using a snow foam first, you avoid dragging the dirt around on the paint making a mess of scratches and marring with your sponge.

A good snow foam is alkaline and produces a foam that offers good coverage and clings to the paint for a good amount time allowing it to thoroughly do its job. The longer the product stays on the paint, the more time it will have to work.

Do I need special equipment?

In order to achieve the full effect of your snow foam, you need some sort of foaming equipment. This could be a "click on" foam cannon for your pressure washer, or a more professional solution with an external foam pump system, or foam injector system.

N.B. Snow Foam should always be used in combination with cold water. Make sure your pressure washer is set to cold water while foaming. When you are ready to rinse you can switch it to hot water.
